EPA lead-based paint Renovation, Repair and Painting rule.

Starting April 22, 2010, all renovations, repairs, and painting on residences and "child-occupied" facilities, such as schools and day-cares, must follow strict EPA guidelines and be performed by an EPA "Certified Renovator".  The consequences and application of the law are too numerous to mention here.  Realize though, that if you own or occupy a residence or "child-occupied" facility built before January 1, 1978, this law may/does affect you.  Be sure and talk with your certified renovation professional with regards to it's implications for you.  For more information, you may wish to visit the EPA "lead paint" website.
