With the windows and door installed on our repair project, we used cellular PVC
board to fabricate the exterior casing. Cellular PVC is an excellent choice for a near maintenance-free exterior finish, as it will never warp, rot, be
infested by insects or need painting.
After we stained and urethaned the windows` wood sashes, we built the window extension jambs and casings. We used cedar to compliment the existing wood wall covering. Cedar is also an excellent choice due to it's natural beauty and natural rot and insect resistance.
