The garage is starting to look a lot less like a garage:
A floor deck is added to make the floor height of the den continuous with the flooring of the rest of the house. As we saw last time, window openings are installed and an old one closed up, and the outside door opening is raised in conjunction with the new floor height.
With the bathroom walls framed in, the plumbing begins. A very small crawlspace and limited access requires that we build the floor deck one half at a time, so we can get under to do the plumbing work.
A new heating zone is tied into the home's existing but upgraded heating system.
Once the bulk of the plumbing is done, the remainder of the floor deck is framed out.
Next time, we move on to electric, insulation, fixtures, and drywall!
